As a member of the Sales team, this position will prospect, develop and grow business relationships. As well as maintain ongoing profitable with customers. The position will be a prime driver of sales activity including but not limited to quote preparation, sales admin requirements, customer support, quotation follow up, order processing, and measuring customer satisfaction. This incumbent will also lead sales. You will closely collaborate with various internal departments and representatives in this cross-functional position.
The successful candidate will have the following attributes, skills set, and Specific responsibilities include;
Prospecting and developing new customer opportunities.
Maintaining and growing business from the existing customer base.
Conducting sales calls, delivering presentations, serving as a main customer contact throughout order process, following-up with customers as necessary.
Managing a portfolio of customer accounts: establishing primary contacts, decision making matrix, building and maintaining relationships,
Responding to customer inquiries, requests for quotations, and measuring customer satisfaction, etc.
Assisting with customer order processing and order entry as needed.
Arranging registration of tradeshows/conferences and coordinate tradeshow booth logistics; participating/attending sales conferences/meetings/tradeshows, etc.
Managing sales collateral materials (brochures, business cards, tradeshow booth, etc.)
Identifying & prioritizing new business opportunities (through research and analysis, bid websites, etc.) and coordinating necessary resources to support leads.
Other duties and tasks as assigned by Manager.
Education and Experience
Technical Certification/Diploma/Degree preferably in machining, fabrication, mechanical, industrial or related field.
3 to 5 years’ experience in direct sales/business development role considered an asset.
Experience in manufacturing or engineering industries considered an asset.
Strong understanding of Mining and Energy industry needs and related equipment
Experienced in negotiating contractual terms and conditions as well as project pricing
High energy with the ability to get out in front of the customer and grow the business as well as work efficiently and effectively with a team of existing sales professionals
Confident in a client facing role
Strong presentation skills
The ability and the desire to grow into a Senior Management role over time
Excellent client relations skills with the proven ability to form relationships and the ability to produce results from those relationships.
Travel within Canada and the USA will be required. A valid passport is necessary.
