Seeking an experienced Project Sales Manager with a proven track record in business development, market analysis and relationship building/keeping.   You will closely collaborate with various internal departments and representatives in this cross-functional position.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  • Responsible for all sales activity’s regions and revenue/profit growth of each territory.
  • Build and maintain professional and mutually beneficial relationships with regional customers, providing the highest possible level of customer service and technical sales support.
  • Work to develop a regional sales territory focusing on the Projects Business market.
  • Lead development of sales strategies, winning hands, and go/no go decisions working closely with Projects Team and Operations throughout the sales process.
  • Represent the Sales Dept. in corporate planning and budgeting activities. The sum of territory sales booking goals will constitute the basis from which corporate budgeting planning is initiated.  Participate in the budget rationalization process.
  • Lead pricing strategy developments and price reviews for project business.
  • Translate the winning strategy into key themes and drive them into sales documents that articulate compelling sales messages with benefit statements, graphics, case studies and testimonials.
  • Evaluate the early stages of projects to impact preliminary specification language when possible.
  • Support strategic thinking and discussions in the development of win plans and value propositions for key clients.
  • Maintain a thorough knowledge of industry, trends, and customer issues to ensure full discovery and understanding of customer’s primary business goals, operations, challenges, and requirements.
  • Extensive traveling to complete sales calls/customer visits. Is available and responds timely to after-hours needs.
  • Other job duties and tasks as assigned.

 

Education & Experience: 

 

  • Bachelor or Advanced Degree in Engineering or Mechanical Engineering. The degree requirement may be met through a combination of work experience and intellectual instruction establishing substantially the same level of knowledge as an Engineering degree.
  • 5 to 10 years of relevant industrial experience and established customer base in territory and low mainland.
  • 3 to 5 years in Project Management

 

 

Specific Skills: 

 

  • Sales, networking, and computer fluency.
  • Wide knowledge of various industrial applications. Integrative approach looking at the market beyond our core equipment to define new opportunities.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing/machining/engineering and ability to read technical drawings considered an asset.
  • Self-starter, goal driven, professional, with competitive aptitude.
  • Strong interpersonal, multitasking, and organizational skills.
  • Detail oriented with strong analytical and mechanical abilities
  • Ability and willingness to travel as required to conduct sales calls, meet customers, exhibit at tradeshows, and attend conferences. Valid driver’s license and valid passport an asset.
  • The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills in English (both written and oral), sound decision-making skills and good organization and planning skills.
