Ebco Heavy Fabrication and Machining divisions also provides extensive mechanical and hydraulic assembly and testing capabilities. We have built, assembled and tested tunnel boring machines with diameters up to 28’ as well as the first Canadian-built Demag H-185 hydraulic mining shovels. A total of five shovels were produced and shipped to India. Components were packaged and shipped via our rail spur running directly through the centre of our plant.

The divisions provide manufacturing and assembly services to primary and secondary industries., including Mining, Pulp & Paper, Hydro-Electric, Petrochemical, Offshore Oil Production, Aerospace and Defense.

The Light Machining & Fabrication (LMF) Division specializes in the fabrication, machining and assembly of products which are built of lighter to medium weight metals. LMF produces assembly jigs and fixtures, drill and locating jigs and other tooling items for Boeing and other aerospace companies. LMF's excellent record for meeting or exceeding strict customer requirements in the aerospace industry earned the division two awards from the Boeing Company in 1997. The first award, from Boeing's Commercial 777 Division, was for performance in delivery of a critical tooling job ahead of schedule. The second was from Boeing Defense and Space Group - Sea Launch Division, for delivery of a complex tool, once again ahead of schedule.
