Bench Grinder
Department: Heavy Fabrication
Reports to: Working Foreman, Fabrication Shop

Our customers range from small and/or start-up companies to world class suppliers of OEM capital equipment and machinery. Our headquarters and manufacturing facility is located in Richmond, B.C. Canada..




Main Responsibilities:

  • Bench grinding
  • De-burring
  • Drilling and tapping
  • Planning and layout prior to machining
  • Cleaning parts for machining and shipping
  • General shop clean-up



  • Grade 12 or equivalent
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English (reading, writing, and speaking)
  • Entrance in a machining pre-apprentice program is desired
  • Must have 2-3 years’ experience in heavy machine shop
  • Strong knowledge of power hand tools
  • Valid forklift license preferred


Work Environment

  • This is a physically demanding position requiring a person to lift or move 50 – 100 lbs.
  • Regular exposure to moving mechanical parts in a moderately noisy environment
  • Working at heights may be required
  • Fast paced environment with priorities that often change to meet current problems
  • Must have own steel toed safety shoes
